PrestaShop is a freemium,open source e-commerce platform. The software is published under the Open Software License (OSL). It is written in the PHP programming language with support for the MySQL database management system. It has a software dependency on the Symfony PHP framework.
PrestaShop is currently used by 300,000 shops worldwide and is available in 60 different languages.
First, download the iso from Turnkey Linux.
When you open VirtualBox, be sure to click the "Create New" button. This will allow you to create a new Virtual Machine for PrestaShop.
When setting up your Virtual Machine for Prestashop, be sure to name your VM "Prestashop." Also, make sure to set the path of the iso image to the turnkey iso file you downloaded. Finally, be sure to set the OS Type as Linux, Subtype as Debian, and version as Debian (64 bit).
Make sure to set the RAM to 2048 MB and the CPU processors to 4 CPUs. This will ensure that your virtual machine has enough resources to run PrestaShop smoothly.
Make sure to use 20GB of disk space for the virtual machine. This will ensure that your virtual machine has enough storage space to run PrestaShop smoothly.
Finally, click finsh.
Before we start the VM, we need to set the network to bridge mode. To do this, right-click on the PrestaShop VM and select "Settings."
To start the VM, just click the "Start" button. You can also right-click the "Prestashop VM", go to Start, and click on Normal Start. This will boot up the VM and you should be able to access the VM's desktop.
The VM will boot up and display a boot screen. Once the boot screen is displayed, you can start installing PrestaShop.
Make sure to follow the remaining steps:
Note the IP address and then tap enter to quit.
Then login with the username as root and the password which you set.
Then finally type this command:
/usr/lib/inithooks/bin/prestashop.py --domain <ip_address_you_noted_without_angular_bracket>
Then re-enter the admin email and password.
Finally, substitute the ip address in your browser
Then log into the administration panel by typing: https://<your_ip_address>/administration
Then finally disable friendly url from SEO settings. This will allow your instance to show the pictures of products.
